TFA are Recruiting!

TFA Recruiting ET:QW players
Due to the real life commitments of a few of our members We're currently looking for about 2 -3 players to help make up our Quake Wars squad.
We don't often recruit so apply to join us whilst the chance is there.
About US:
We're fairly average skill level, play fair, respect others and believe in fair play above all.
We've been around for about 10 years now, starting life with Q2. Still have a few original members now
About You:
We need players able to commit (a little, say 2 - 3 times a week)
We're looking for mature people (well when I say mature, most of us are in our 30's and 40's, with a few 20 year olds) good sense of humour (essential if you play along side of us...especially when you see how awful we are! ), like a drink or 3 (not essential but does help on comms...LOL)

Quake 4 beta 1.1 patch available

The BETA of the broad QUAKE 4 update is now available for download.
It fixes issues and adds gameplay elements throughout both single and multiplayer — including voice chat in multiplayer, a forcemodel option, a one-minute warning for tournament matches, fixed pure server autodownloading, Hyper-Threading Technology support, smooth stairjumping and a ton of multiplayer specific fixes which have been requested by the community and discovered during ID's own gameplay.
In short, multiplayer is fixed.

GamersNation.co.uk Launched

It has finally happened. If you didn't know it was happening, it has!
GamersNation has been released.
This is a project undertaken by the admins of BF2Nation and ETNation to create a website community that caters for many FPS games all under one site.
Games currently supported are
* ET
* BF2
* Q4
* ETQW
* FEAR
* COD2
* DOD:S
They are providing a sponsered public servers for each game and will hopefulloy be running cups and competitions in the future.
I know many of TFA are subscribed to either BF2Nation or Etnation so will probably be aware of the change but if not take a trip over and get registered and support this community.

POST Quakecon: Quake 4 Info and reviews

With Quakecon over this year and  Check 6/U96D taking Gold in the first major ET LAN event.
The question from most who did not make it to Dallas was surely;
What about Quake 4
 DJ Wheat (from Radio ITG) has posted his post Quakecon review of Quake4 over at the GGL website.
His first impressions on the gameplay and weapons can be found here
